Patrick has been the Director of Music Ministries at Evangelical United Church of Christ for the past 13 years. He has also served as Organist for the past five years.
Patrick began his music education as a Piano Performance major at Hobe Sound Bible College, in South Florida, where he was the recipient of the Archie Coons Music Scholarship. His undergraduate degree, in Music Education, is from the University of Rio Grande. He has also completed graduate work in Music at both the University of Rio Grande and Marshall University.
At EUCC, he directs the Adult Chancel Choir. The choir is an active part of the church. Members lead in worship services as they sing the hymns, choruses and anthems. Upon occasion, soloists and instrumentalist perform. During the Christmas Season, the congregation enjoys the ministry of two local choirs – Shawnee State University’s Community Chorale and Portsmouth West High School Concert Choir.
Anyone who has music ability and would like to become involved in the music ministry at EUCC, is welcome to join us any Wednesday afternoon at 4:30. We look forward to seeing you!

George Bishop - Custodian

Born and raised in Portsmouth, George has many fond memories of attending Evangelical UCC as a youth. George served four years in the Navy and then worked for the State of Ohio, retiring after thirty years. He and his wife, Carolyn, have three children and four grandchildren.
George has served as custodian at Evangelical UCC for four years and custodian for the West End Child Care Center for three years.
